Create Folders in Document Library

Step-by-step guide

  1. Select Library from the main menu. The Document Library screen is displayed.

  2. Browse to the required location for the new folder.

  3. Click . The Create New Folder dialog box is displayed.

    If the icons displayed below are not visible, you do not have permission to edit this folder. Refer to Assigning Folder Permissions for more information.

  4. Enter the name of the new folder in the Folder Name text box. Ensure the folder name is a succinct description of the folder contents.

  5. Enter the reference number of the new folder in the Reference No text box. Using reference numbers to identify folders in the library sorts the folders according to the reference number.

  6. Click . The new folder is added to the library.
