Create Locations

The process of creating a location can be broken into 6 main stages:

Stage 1: Enter general details, i.e., the address, the GPS coordinates and the magnetic variation.
Stage 2: Enter ALA information, if necessary.
Stage 3: Enter HLS information, if necessary.
Stage 4: Enter base details, if necessary.
Stage 5: Enter fuel depot details, if necessary.
Stage 6: Select any relevant documents and images of the location, i.e., maps, runway photographs and diagrams.

Step-by-step guide

Select Operations > Locations >. The Base Register tab is displayed.
Browse the register and ensure that the location does not exist in the system.
Click. The Location Details screen is displayed.
Enter the name of the location in the Location Name field.
Press keyboard [Tab] button. The location is displayed on the map.
Press keyboard [Shift] button and click on the location on the map to obtain the GPS Co-ordinates. The system prompts you to save the GPS Co-ordinates.
Click [Yes] or [No]. If you click [No] you can enter the co-ordinates manually.
Select the required tick boxes corresponding with the site properties at the location.
Enter the magnetic variation for the location.
Enter the address details for the location in the applicable fields.
Click . The Location Profile pane is updated and contains links to the required screens depending on the site properties selected for the location and your access levels. There are additional setup requirements depending on the selected site properties.

For example, if the location contains a fuel depot, the Fuel Depot menu item is displayed.
Select the link corresponding with the required site property in the Location Profile pane.
Complete the required fields on the relevant site property screen.
Click
Repeat Steps 12-14 for the remaining site properties in the Location Profile pane.
