Counting change for 'Renewal window'
When setting up recency items, a new Renewal Window option has been introduced when setting Months as the interval.
Note that this feature only affects the value of the automatic expiry date calculation.
When selecting the ‘Months’ radio button for Renewal Window, users will see two new radio buttons beside it to select whether the renewal period should calculate ‘To The Day’ or by ‘Calendar Month’.
Renewal Window - To The Day
This is the original behavior, where for a recency item that:
Has an expiry set to 6 months
Has a renewal window of 3 months
If the item is being conducted on 30th December, it’s expiry would be 30th June (same day).
Therefore, the start of the renewal (i.e., the earliest date the user can perform a renewal) will be on 30th March (same day).
Renewal Window - Calendar Month
This is the new option, where for a recency item that:
Has an expiry set to 6 months
Has a renewal of 3 months
If the item is being conducted on 17th October, it’s expiry would be 17th February (same day).
How Calendar Month differs is that for the renewal period, its start date will instead be 1st December (start of month).
With Calendar Month selected, the day the expiry is set to is not considered, rather the month of the expiry.
