Applying the What If feature

The What If feature is a useful tool used to predict the impact of Rostered duty hours on prescribed work practice controls.
Please be advised that the What If Feature requires entries in the Roster or it will not display the correct fields.

  1. Select Operations > People > Personnel. The Personnel screen is displayed.

  2. Click [Timesheets] to view the timesheet for the selected user. If you do not have the required access level to view personnel timesheets, a warning is displayed. The Timesheets screen is displayed.

  3. Select Tools > What If > Enter What If Mode.

  4. Scroll to the required date.

  5. Select the work practice to be performed on the selected date from the Work Practice drop-down list.

  6. Enter the duty start and end time in the Duty 1 field in 24 hour format. If this is a split shift, enter the subsequent shifts in the remaining text boxes (Duty 2 and Duty 3).

  7. Repeat Steps 4-6 for all other required dates.

  8. Select Tools > What If > Apply What If. The dates effected by the What If are displayed in purple.

  9. Select Tools > What If > Clear What If to exit the What If function.
