User Lockout Modes

The settings for user lockout are found in:

Site settings > General > Personnel

and are located on the left-hand side of the page:

 

There are two user lockout modes - default and incremental.

 

Default

 

  • When the password has been incorrectly entered after the number of attempts indicated in the setup, the user will be shown the following message:

 

  • An email will be sent to the user to notify them that their account has been locked.

    Even though the password reset link is visible, it will not function when Default is activated.

 

  • Personnel listed in the user Account Notifications will be notified when a user is locked out.
    They will need to enter Personnel Setup and unlock the users in the Unlock User Accounts section.

  • As soon as the account has been unlocked, the user will be notified via email.

Incremental

 

  • When the wrong password has been entered, a timeout notification will be shown:

 

  • The password reset link will be interactable

 

  • After clicking “Send Link”, the user will receive the following email:

     

Users will not appear in the “Unlock User Accounts” section in Personnel Setup
