The timer also displays a colour based on pre-defined thresholds:

Each threshold has a numerical value designated to it , which that represent a duration in hours. When a threshold is paired with an adjacent threshold, it acts as a boundary when paired with adjacent thresholds. that shifts use to visually indicate how much time left a shift has (in hours), or how close a shift is to finishing.
